Butterfly Craft

Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Acorn to tree crafting with Patrice. And I have something here I want to show you and what I used for this is construction paper, I used some cellophane in an orangey yellow color, I used a lot of cardboard and I used a hole puncher to punch out tiny little white circles from white paper. And this is what we came up with. So it was really fun making this because when my daughter would hold it outside, you can see the silhouette in the sun onto the pavement, it was really kind of interesting. So here’s what we used. So here, this is just a paper towel tube. This is the cardboard here, I just cut it out in the shape of something like a butterfly, and I wanted it to look like a monarch butterfly. So I put out these areas here. We put the cellophane in that orangey yellow color there. And I put the little hole punch white little circles, we put them around the wings just to sort of look like a butterfly. Then on the back. I just put on I just tied on some ribbons here. And had I put them in loops so that she can actually wear this on her back. And it really came out to if your child’s wearing all black. It looks really cute. And you can eat like I think I even had her put on a little too too with it a little black too, too. But in any case, even if you don’t want to have your child wear it, you can actually just see how the wings flap you can actually just have them run around the backyard playing with this and showing them how they the sun hits it a certain way on the pavement. It looks really cool. So it’s just another way to recycle and create something fun with your children. Thank you for joining me I hope you liked this video and maybe subscribe.
