Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Nkwanta tree crafting with Patrice and today I have this project that my daughter and I came up with this weekend, we cut a circle out of black construction paper. Then I had my daughter take little pieces of tissue and crinkle it into little balls, and we adhered it here with just white glue. Then we took a half, I had these little popcorn bags that I got at the dollar store, we never use them. So I cut one in half, we use the glue gun and attached it here. Then we she put all the little bowls on using regular craft glue, then we took some, we didn’t use paint, because I didn’t want it to soften and take the tissue and get it soggy. So I said let’s use a little magic marker, you know, just little dabs. And we use yellow we use some brown to make it a little bit more realistic because sometimes there’s parts of the popcorn that has the little brown piece on the bottom. So that’s what we came up with. And she had a lot of fun making it. It was really fun for her to take her use her fine motor skills and to crinkle up the little pieces of tissue. And then she used the glue. A lot of times kids with sensory processing. They don’t want to use glue, but it’s a skill they really need to become familiar with. So they did she did end up doing that. So it was great was a fun little project and I liked it. It’s 3d. It’s really cute. So see if you want to try this with your kids. It’s a fun idea.
