Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Acorn to tree children’s book review. And I wanted to share with you I have a series of books in front of me, they’re all by the same author, and they’re very special. This is called the cool bean. It’s from George John and Pete Oswald from the number one New York Times Best Selling team. This is a wonderful book, it’s a, there’s a series of books that they wrote, the purpose of which is to help a child by using different things like seeds, and eggs and beans and cookies, to explain to children different things they might be going through validating those feelings and making it into a really fun, and just a beautiful idea for some books to make it approachable. Here’s an example of what the beans look like the cool bean. So this, these book will help a child this particular book, the cool bean will help a child to understand how it’s a tough concept. And as far as it’s difficult for children to go through where all the children perhaps when they were younger, they were all really good friends. And then as they switch schools, they change. As they get older people start to navigate toward different people. And sometimes there’s a child who’s left out, they don’t know why. And they start getting down on themselves for that. Wondering why am I not included. And this book beautifully, beautifully illustrates why people sometimes change and how you can still be an individual and still have friends. And you can also grow, but it doesn’t mean you have to grow apart. You can grow in a different way and then come together when you see each other and then you go back and you do your own thing and it’s just a nice Coming of Age book. It’s a beautiful story and I love this whole series. So see if you could find it once again, the cool being from Jory John and Pete Oswald
