Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Acorn to Tree Children’s Book Review. Today I have a book called John’s Turn. And it’s written by Mac Barnett and it’s illustrated by Kate Berube. Now, this story is very special because it talks about how it doesn’t matter where you come from and who you are. If you have something you’re passionate about, that you should pursue that and enjoy yourself in your life, and how you should not worry about what other people think. Here, it takes John a little bit of time to have the courage to dance in front of his friends, but he’ll be very surprised when he sees the reaction of everybody. People are really supportive when they see that you’re passionate about something. His face is clearly smiling when he’s dancing. So this book is something to share with your family to encourage children to understand what’s more important than what other people think is what your inner voice is telling you. You need to follow your passion and do things that make you happy, life is very short. So this is a once again a book called John’s Turn. It’s written by Mac Barnett and it’s illustrated by Kate Barube
