Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Acorn to tree children’s educational toy review. And today I have the busy, busy bake shop. And it’s by peaceable kingdom. It’s a really beautiful game, I took the pieces out because I wanted to show you but it’s just presented like in a doughnut box type of a format. So cute. Here it is set up. I’ll put it this way so you can actually see it. Okay, so let me show you what’s included. Now first skill that the children are going to learn is on the board. So I’ll move them down here, they actually have doughnuts here, the child needs to match up. Now they’re not just matching the actual cake part of the doughnut, they’re matching the topping. So that’s one thing they’re going to learn to match. And there’s also colors here that will help them with color recognition. So with that, what you do is to set it up, you put them all on the donut that matches here, it’s not exactly what I want to do the video. So okay, what’s included. So you have that, then you have these tweezers, we’re gonna describe that and how you use it in a minute. There’s three very nice dice. They’re nice and big. And they’re very colorful, and I love them. So what you do with this is the the person whoever’s going first, they roll their dice. And here, I came up with this, here, I have pancake, I have this pink and blue frosting. And then in the middle, it says yum. So that means I get to keep that. So I’m going to look for the cake with the pink and blue. Take the tweezers for younger kids, you put it right in the center, like so. And then they get to keep it for older kids, they need to coordinate a little bit more you open up the tweezers, you can do that. And then they grab it that might be frustrating for a little kid. So I would hold off on that for the kids. And then there’s there’s another thing involved is this little mouse. Okay, now you’ll I’ll show you the dice. And as as you’re setting up the game, I’m going to find the one that has the little mouse on it. Where is it? Okay, here he is cute little mouse. So you can see on the die, see, there’s the little mouse there, okay, so if it’s your turn, and you’re rolling, and then you have whatever you have, whatever combination of the donut, frosting and cake, and then you get this, okay, there’s two ways you can play this, I play this way, I take the mouse, and especially with younger kids, they get a kick out of it, I put the mouse to the side, and I act like he’s one of the players. So he would get that donor, okay, and then you’d continue playing. So it’s like you’re playing with three people, or three, I don’t know two people in a mouse. So anyways, you can continue on that way. Or, if you want, you can play where you don’t use the mouse right away. And if you show up with the if you end up getting a mouse as your first try, then what you do is okay, you can actually just skip you will you will skip because you won’t be able to keep the donut whenever you get the mouse you can’t keep it either the mouse gets it and you make him a player or later when you’re you’ve been very successful, you’ve each gotten your donuts, then if you throw roll the mice, that means that particular donut has to go back on the board here. And then you just keep going so you keep playing until you have no more doughnuts left. And that’s so there’s two ways once again, have the mouse be a player or play it and then when you show it when the mouse shows up in the die, then you have to put it back on the board. Okay, and in the case of if it’s your very first time, your very first time playing it, then you just don’t get the donut. That’s pretty much you can identify the donut say, oh, here it is. But I had the mouse so I can’t keep it. So this is a very cute game that helps with color coordination, matching. It also helps with fine motor because the younger kids they will be needing to do this, which is a fine motor skill, which helps with pre writing pre using scissors and whatnot. And then for the older kids, you open it up make it a little more challenging, very few game nicely made I love things that are made like this. This made out of wood. It’s very nice. So see if you could find it. Let me get the box out. Once again, the busy, busy bake shop and it’s by peaceable kingdom and it’s really just a beautiful toy and fun to look at very engaging and who doesn’t like doughnuts.
