Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with Acorn to tree children’s book review and I have a great book. I’m excited because this is one of my favorite books. It’s called the teensy weensy spider fingerplays and action rhymes. It’s by Joanna Cole and Stephanie Clemenson, Winston. And it’s illustrated by Alan Tigran, and it’s a great book because it’s another way to incorporate or introduce language and literacy to your child to a tiny child. Plus, it also helps with fine motor skills because for them to create the different fingerplays, they have to coordinate hand-eye coordination and create the different fingerplays. So it’s another idea. So when you’re reading to your child in bed, you can do a few of these; they get very excited because they love to get involved. And it’s just another alternative to introducing language, reading, and time with your child. For example, here’s how they do it. They do different steps. And there are the words underneath that, you know, the caregiver could read to the child, and then they learn all these different things. It’s also a good way to encourage memory and be able to recite things and do things in order. This book is an excellent learning tool, not just something for fun. Once again, the teensy weensy spider fingerplays in action rhymes, Joanna Cole, Stephanie comments and wrote it, and it’s illustrated by Ellen Tigran
