Hi, this is Patrice Badami, with acorn tree children’s book review. And today, I want to share with you that smart cookie is by George John and Pina Oswald. And it’s another in the series of the books that they write their beautifully illustrated, relatable. And I particularly radiated towards this book because it talks about this cookie, who Unknown Speaker 0:27 she may not have had strengths in certain areas of school that she’s aware of, but she has strengths that she’s not aware of, and she learns about those and she starts to highlight the things she can do as opposed to dwelling on things that are difficult for her. She starts learning that her anxiety gets elevated when she focuses on things that are difficult for her, but she needs to express herself and look towards things that she’s great at. And she has an excellent teacher who also sees the strengths in her and provides a wonderful assignment to help her explore herself and to learn more about herself. It’s a wonderful story for children who may be in school, they’re having a little bit of a difficult time in certain areas. And that was me, and so it helps her to discover her strengths, just a wonderful, another great book, The Smart Cookie by George John and Pete Oswald.
